A BRIEF HISTORY: OUR PAST
M.A.D. CLUB WAS FOUNDED IN AUGUST OF 2014.
THE FIRST EVER M.A.D. CLUB MEETING took place on February 6th, 2015, at the Academy of Saint Bartholomew. The meeting was a part of M.A.D. Club's pilot program and one of the many meetings that made M.A.D. Club's pilot a success! Forty-eight members attended the meeting and did an activity from our Peanut Butter and Jelly Society. The members made, packed, and delivered nearly 150 sandwich pouches to the West Side Catholic Center for the homeless who visit there. From then on, the pilot program continued to be successful and currently, M.A.D. Club has established a Chapter at St. Bartholomew where the members there continue to make a difference.
ST. BARTHOLOMEW'S CHAPTER CONTINUES TO MAKE MEALS FOR THE HOMELESS TO THIS DAY AMONGST OTHER PROJECTS AND WAS THE FIRST M.A.D. CLUB CHAPTER.
WE ARE WAITING TO ACHIEVE OUR FEDERALLY RECOGNIZED NONPROFIT STATUS WHICH IS CURRENTLY PENDING.
THREE OTHER M.A.D. CLUB CHAPTERS HAVE BEEN ESTABLISHED SINCE ST. BARTHOLOMEW AND MANY SCHOOLS HAVE EXPRESSED INTEREST IN JOINING OUR MISSION.
MORE SCHOOLS. BIGGER REACH. BIGGER IMPACT. The dream is to expand M.A.D. Club to as many schools as possible -- grade schools, high schools, universities -- so that our mission can make a positive change in the largest capacity. As we achieve our nonprofit status and our funding continues to grow, the projects we complete will be more meaningful, more powerful, and more in depth. The bigger our organization grows, the bigger the difference we will make. We are thrilled with the enthusiasm we've received so far and are moving forward with excitement for what the future will bring for M.A.D. Club.
