Unless you're new to M.A.D. Club, you know all about our work supporting the Ben Franklin Community Garden --- specifically in the Hunger Gardens, where all of the produce we plant and raise is eventually harvested for local food banks. Obviously, these donations have benefitted people, but did you know that our work at the Gardens helps our animal friends, too?
Today, M.A.D. Club cleared a truck load of grape vines that were growing around the Community Garden, and the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo came by to pick them up as a tasty treat for the elephants! They were very happy with the surprise donation, and M.A.D. Club was excited for the opportunity to provide our zoo friends with a snack.
