Love was in the air this week at Light of Hearts Villa assisted-living home! M.A.D. Club was back at it again on Monday, February 11, hosting a Valentine's Day party for the residents.
As the party kicked off, volunteers had a blast giving our favorite valentines some homemade baked treats while everyone enjoyed the backstory of St. Valentine, the patron of this holiday. Some special guests also crashed our party --- the residents loved meeting Mr. Wonderful, Mr. Charming, and Cupid's cousin, Ms. Cupid! These special friends led the residents through multiple love songs, karaoke style! We also played Valentine Monkey Bingo with the residents: all of the winners received a cute stuffed monkey that hangs from their walkers or the door-knobs of their rooms! To top it all off, volunteers organized a fun Valentine-themed raffle with lots of festive prizes. It was surely a party to remember!
